It’s a big round stack of wood.
In theory it is simple, but it takes some time and may be difficult to do. First, how do you keep the round stack of wood off the moist ground? The best thing to do is use pallets. If you stack directly on the ground you will be sacrificing some wood to rot.
Then, because the wood is being stacked in a circular pattern, the pieces touch each other at the inside of the circle, but logs sit with large gaps between them along the outside perimeter. This means that the logs should all “lean” into the center of the circle. This round stack style usually works best with the odd pieces left over from making your other stacks. Many times you will have wedge shaped logs, they will be perfect for this stacking method.
The positive and negative
This method moves can be done pretty quickly. It’s not as fast as when you have post on the end to lean the wood up against, but it’s faster than the traditional towers. A place to put all the random lengths is nice. This stacking method is unique and will be talked about amongst your neighbors. Once you get used to how to stack wood in a round pile, you will be moving faster than ever.
